Activity 2 Overview
Split class into four teams. Have each team attach a lead weight (washer or some weight with a hole in it)
on a piece of string approximately 50 cm in length. Attach the string to a ring stand to make a pendulum.
Students should then measure the distance from the table to the end of the lead weight. Each team should then
pull the weight approximately 15 cm to one side, let it go, and record observations.
One student from the team should record the time it takes for the bob to get to the "middle of the swing" as best
they can.
After the teams have done a number of tests and recorded and averaged at least 5 results, they should then
pull the weight approximately 30 cm to one side, let it go, and record observations.

One student front he team should record the time it takes for the bob to get to the "middle of the swing."
